High Tea at the Emirates Palace - Abu Dhabi

Opening in 2005, it took four years to construct this magnificent compound!
The design has traditional Arabian elements such as the grand dome and
114 smaller domes spread throughout.  The colors reflect the different shades
of the Arabian desert with tile, fabrics, art  and decor in the common areas
and in the 302 luxury rooms and 92 suites. We went for the Royal Treatment!

The entrance as you approach the palace.  Stunning....breathtaking!

From L to R (Gayle, Laurie Nelson, Rayeanne Noyes and Samantha Noyes)

The lobby....we're here!

The marble is from Italy, Spain, India and China.

The central dome ceiling.

At the Le Cafe....how can I pass up the Emirates Palace Cappuccino?
Yes, we are here for high tea....but I just can't pass this one up!

Dates to the left....so yummy.  Cappucinno looks too good to drink!

Yes.....those are edible gold flakes?
Excuse me....can you check....do I have any gold in my teeth?

Emirates Latte for Duane....

The desserts ordered for the table......YUM!
Creme Brulee, chocolate mousse, tiramisu,
lemon meringue, cheesecake....divine!

This is one of the 1002 chandeliers in the palace.

The ladies room.....with personal attendants.....NICE!

In the distance you can see the gulf and the beach.

Like many things of the area....you respect the wishes of your guests.

So there is sooooo much more....but no more pictures, guess you'll have to visit.

Three Words: Our Taj Mahal.
